Liz Barnes has amassed a wealth of experience in marketing and uses this to great effect to train marketers from blue-chip multinationals, to public sector, SMEs and individual consultants. As a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and Chartered Marketer, she combines strategic consulting with training and providing marketing services for a range of organisations. She has also helped many marketers achieve their CIM qualifications and professional marketing careers.

Liz has provided marketing consultancy/facilitation for clients such as Cisco, Centrica, Oxford University Press, EDF Energy, Oxford College of Marketing, Lister Healthcare, Shred-it, Sussex Enterprise, Business Link Kent, Macmillan, Haymarket, P&O Ferries, Multiplex, Land Securities, Lincolnshire County Council and on public courses has trained delegates from companies such as Lloyds TSB, RBS, Santander, Barclays, Fujitsu, MacDonalds, Sainsburys, Liverpool Victoria, Medway NHS Trust, DWP, RS Components, Gleeds, British Gas, Visa, Npower, Ideal Standard plus many SMEs and independent consultants.

In additional Liz also works with local companies providing marketing strategy and consultancy particularly regarding market positioning and communications. She provides marketing services specialising in the Professional Services Sector with HR, Law and Insolvency Practitioner firms.


Liz's marketing management and training spans 20+ years starting with classic FMCG roles with Express Dairies, Trebor and Kimberley Clark, as European Marketing Manager for Kleenex tissues overseeing the launch of the Kleenex Ultra brand. She joined Eurotunnel in the early 1990s to help launch their new holiday business venture. She now works across all sectors, for both small and large organisations, supplying marketing consultancy and training.

Liz carries with her a passion and enjoyment of all the work she undertakes; motivating and inspiring the delegates, directors, managers, business owners, and students with whom she works. As a mentor and workshop tutor, Liz has a warm and encouraging style, which draws on her love and enjoyment of singing and acting as a pastime.
